More about the Ukraine Refugee Fund

We support a network of 80 churches in Ukraine that are boots on the ground serving thousands of families that had to flee their homes.

Our partner churches operate five refugee centers that offer short term shelter, food, clothing, gas for cars, and other essentials for those coming through their doors. Refugees are encountered with love and cared for until they know what step to take next.

Our partners are also delivering humanitarian aid to the most devastated areas, evacuate people to relatively safer places, and help them to transit to other countries.

Below you can access videos, latest news, as well as some pictures of the wonderful people we get to serve. As always, your partnership is indispensable to our ministry, and we are so grateful for your gifts.

Latest News

[5/2/2022] Watch this interview with our friend Lena Yefimenko, the woman who, after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, has become the main contact of our relief work.

Lena had to flee her home in Donetsk already in 2014 when Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula, and now, just a few years later, she, along with millions of her countrymen, has once again had to leave her home and possessions. Unlike many others, however, she has not sought safety in Europe, but instead chose to stay and help others on the run. “There was no time for self-pity or crying, but the needs were great and someone had to do something to help.”

Long-term housing
Many families from Ukraine who were evacuated from heavily bombed areas cannot leave their country due to various reasons and need longer term housing solutions than staying at a refugee center (which offer short term housing).

Together with our partners on the ground we have taken the initiative to rent apartments in the vicinity of Lviv and help these families have a place to stay. The cost of one apartment/month is approximately $200. We are now providing housing for 13 families and hope to be able to fund more families in this capacity.
