A very wise friend of mine tweeted this yesterday:
“The longer I walk with Jesus the more grateful I am for the fact that I am still following Him & the less concerned I am with where to.”
And in the second I read it, I knew.
I knew that somewhere along the way, I’d taken a misstep.
That somewhere along the way I’d gotten sidetracked.
Distracted.
Off base.
That somewhere along the way I’d gotten my eyes off of him
And become encumbered with some weights
that were never meant for me to carry
and that were sure to derail me.
“The longer I walk with Jesus the more grateful I am for the fact that I am still following Him & the less concerned I am with where to.”
And in the second I read it, I knew.
That it was time to let go of everything else
but Him.
That it was time to stop
long enough to regroup
and long enough to rest
in Him.
In the second that I read it, I knew
That I don’t want to go anywhere without him
or be anything outside of him
or get anything if it’s not for him.
The culture we live in will try to convince us
to do more and be more and get more
when true joy and lasting peace comes from just one thing
More of Him.
“The longer I walk with Jesus the more grateful I am for the fact that I am still following Him & the less concerned I am with where to.”
How about you? Are you in a rush to get there, or are you resting in Him?

Love this!
That’s great…thanks. I listened to your message at cornerstone and was so blessed by it!
This is the mature faith that rests. No matter what He brings and where, wherever life takes us, the confidence that He is there is the anchor.
Yes, I listened to your message also and loved it
I’ll be reading this again later when my mom is in surgery. Thank-you Lina!
Loved this line: “The culture we live in will try to convince us
to do more and be more and get more
when true joy and lasting peace comes from just one thing
More of Him.” So very, very true. More of Him, Less of Me. Thank you, Lina, for this post. Keep our eyes on Jesus.
Love this!
Love this! My divorce was final yesterday.. after 24 years of marriage. How appropriate. Time to Regroup. Thank you for reminding me to continue to follow, rest and receive More of HIM and not be concered with where to.
Lina, Thank you for encouraging us everyday!!

This is just what I needed TODAY! God is so good…thank you for being obedient Lina…
Beautiful! He is sovereign and merciful. I too am grateful that I am still following HIM.
