There are some things in life that I wish I had.
How about you? What do you wish you had?
Do you wish for a friendship in a season of loneliness? Do you wish for a family after years of singleness?
Do you wish for clarity on what you should do next? Or for impact for His kingdom in your day to day activities?
Do you wish for a bigger house, or a car that actually works, or for your health to finally catch up with your dreams?
Here are 4 things you need to know about that thing that you wish you had:
#1 God knows that you want it
He really does. He sees your heart. He knows your desire for a relationship if you’re single. He knows your desire for more impact for His kingdom. He sees your longing for more of Him. Pour your heart out to Him and get it off your chest. And then rest in the knowledge that He knows.
#2 God knows if you need it
You might not even need it. It might not even be good for you. What you and I see with limited vision, God sees with an eternal perspective. He is wise enough to know if you need it. He is loving enough to know if it’s good for you in the long run. If He hasn’t given it, maybe it’s because you don’t need it?
#3 God knows when you need it
His timing is always perfect. He is never too late. He never shows up too early. His timing is perfect. If He sees you need it, He will provide it in the perfect time. You don’t have to worry about being too old, or missing your zone. God’s got a zone etched out just for you.
#4 God knows how to make it happen
He doesn’t need your help. He doesn’t need you to negotiate with him for it, or twist his arm for it. He is strong enough to make it happen, and good enough to see you to it. So stop worrying. Stop pacing. Stop wondering about it. God is able to do it.
I guess it really boils down to this: Do you trust Him with the thing you wish you had?
